Recipe | Jalapeño Chicken Burgers
Chelsea Jenkins | Gluten-Free Soldiers
Its finally Spring and I have just the recipe for those of you starting up your grills! I love this dish because its spicy AND it is actually paleo friendly.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 ½ pounds Ground Chicken
- ⅝ cups dice Onion, White
- ¼ cups chop Cilantro, Fresh
- 2 teaspoons mince Garlic, Cloves
- 2 teaspoons seed and dice Jalapeño
- 1 teaspoon Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
Mix together ground chicken, onion, cilantro, garlic, jalapeño, ground cumin (this stuff smells so good), paprika, and red pepper flakes in a large bowl. Divide mixture and form into patties.
Grill over medium-high heat and flip when bottom side of burger no loner sticks to the grill grates; I wasn't ready to grill outside so I cooked the burgers on medium-high heat in a pan.
I served on a gluten free bun with bacon (duh), chipotle aioli sauce, and kale. IT WAS DELICIOUS!
"Yesterday, I went to The Block for brunch with some of my Sorors. I say brunch only cause we were drinking before 5pm, they don't have a brunch menu. :)"
Read Daisha's review of The Block - Midtown! This Black-owned restaurant is pricey, but worth it.
