BOLD-resolute, fearless, acknowledged, daring, audacious,
BOLD is an art and sound exhibit that wanders through modes of expression to explore a radical understanding of Blackness and overall self-love. Taking in our present day reality of the United States being governed by a Black President, Barack Obama, which was once only dreamed of. Using this historical time to observe race relations assisted in sparking my curiosity into black visibility on a global diaspora; creating questions like: What is Blackness? What is acting black? How do I own my Blackness?
