SHAKESPEARE IN DETROIT - MACBETH
Shakespeare in Detroit is a site-specific Shakespeare company that performs in the places where people live, work and play by creating high-quality theater. After debuting in 2013 as the first theatre company to perform Shakespeare in the park in the city, and with an all-local cast, Shakespeare in Detroit is excited to return to the city this summer with a production of "Macbeth."
Founding artistic director Samantha White says, "The quiet location, fully equipped with an amphitheater in Detroit's New Center area is the perfect place for the young company to perform The Scottish Play. Comfortable accommodations and audience facilities complement one of Shakespeare's most popular plays. This is an experience you don't want to miss in arguably the best park in the city for viewing The Bard's work under the stars."
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday July 16, 17, and 18: Doors at 7:00PM, performance 8:00PM.
Sunday, July 19: Doors at 1:00PM, performance 2:00PM.
